some rss have attachments: images, video (for example youtube), music (mp3) but blogtrottr doesn't show this. Please attach media to messages.

That would increase the load on the server tremendously, whereas there were already some problems with the bandwidth I believe. Perhaps this should remain a premium feature instead?

Could blogtrottr insert the link to original media file? This is a cheap solution of my problem.

its a good idea to have the video right away in the inbox. and it is possible.

i believe why you have bandwidth problem/heavy load on server,  is

because of you have the "Realtime" option.

Sure, if it's just a link you're talking about than it shouldn't be that big of a problem. What I was referring to was actually *including* the linked file in the message.

if you have the link to the video, you can get the thumbnails of that video too.

i know that youtube provide. dont know about others. and have it in the html <img src=""> that it. will iframe or embed tags in the email makes any security issues at our end?

Hi all, I'm happy to announce that feed attachments are now presented as links in the update emails.

Some of the attachments I've seen during testing run into the hundreds of MB, and I'm not so sure that people would appreciate those actually being included in their emails!

I do love the idea of being able to embed media players in emails, but research would suggest that only a handful of email clients have any kind of support for embedded flash at the moment.  Perhaps with the rapid take up of html5, this can be revisited not too far in the future.

And don't worry, we have big tubs of bandwidth ;)
